THE SPORT OF AIRFOILING

In 1980 there were maybe a few thousand people that snowboarded, but by the turn of the century tens of millions were doing so. Snowboarding had to compete directly with skiing. Not needing snow airfoiling would be an all-season sport that could be practiced in the tropics. Imagine yourself zooming down a mountain side with your airfoiling run ending in a tropical lagoon! With skiing and snowboarding a participant has two axes to have fun with, yaw and roll, but with airfoiling a participant would have three axes of control to have fun with, yaw, roll and pitch, with pitch being the most fun of the axes (personal knowledge attained through many years of flying a hang glider). Because the route of an airfoiling run is dictated by the route of the cable a participant is rolling down that participant will not be able to go off trail, so no hitting trees, boulders or vaulting off cliffs, not to mention no worries about avalanches, which means airfoiling will be safer than either skiing or snowboarding. For one that airfoils, airfoiling will provide more excitement, adrenaline, for less danger. Airfoiling is you having the greatest adrenaline rush of your life at while being in less danger than swimming in a pool.
